When you look at the clipboard viewer, you should see that the Windows clipboard has limited the data when presented in certain 'flavors'. It will be in the System Tools section of the Windows Setup tab. If you don't have this program you will need to use the Add/Remove Programs applet of the Windows Control Panel to add it.

You will find the clipboard viewer in the accessories or system tools section of the Windows start menu. To see a graphical example of this, select a large range in the spreadsheet, then look at the clipboard viewer. There is a limit, and that limitation is not necessarily AutoCAD's fault. Is there a limit on rows/columns from my OLE spreadsheet? All materials are to be considered 'as-is', and use of any information should be considered as AT YOUR OWN RISK! By contrast, when using a STB, a separate Plot Style property determines the plotted appearance of your drawing.ĭespite each of these methods being part of the software for many years, CTB or color-based plotting remains the most popular method among AutoCAD users.

When using a CTB Plot Style Table, the color of an object determines the plotted appearance of your drawing. The primary difference between these methods is the property that determines the plotted color, screening, and lineweight of the objects in your drawing. These two methods are managed through the use of CTB files for color plotting, and STB files for style-based plotting. Diagnosing the IssueĪutoCAD offers two ways to manage the way drawings plot by color, or by style. Even though the desired CTB is saved in the Plot Style Table Search Path, configured from the Files tab of the Options dialog box, the CTB is missing from the Plot dialog box. When plotting/publishing an AutoCAD drawing, the Plot Style Tables available from the Plot dialog box do not match the Plot Style Tables saved in your Plot Style Table Search Path.
